I'm pretty much done running across the country this year, the rest of the year I'll be more local, (Six Flags Great America, Cedar Point,Kings Island, Michigan's Adventure, and Silver Dollar City)

All are welcomed to respond to this thread and every response is truly appreciated!!!
California is always interesting to me... Plenty of great coasters and yet really missing some ride models that I just take for granted like the B&M Hyper, Wing, and Giga.
Still you have some great all-stars in your list with AFO leading the way (I'm not jealous at all) 😁

Hello Everyone,
I hope someone from SoCal is welcomed to answer within this thread. This year I have only visited two new parks with at least five more scheduled before the end of the year. You can check out my blog here (My Blog – LifeCycle365 | Gregory Scott Wall) if you want to read some of my personal coaster content.
For 2026 Ridden Coasters Only!
1. Best overall woodie – Ghost Rider
2. Best overall Steel – ArieForce One
3. Best Giga – NONE, though I plan to visit Over Texas for my birthday in late October, where I will be at a park that actually has a Giga. Remember our tallest coaster of value in CA in Xcelerator and then we have that piece of hopefully soon scrap "David" at SFMM that has a 255 foot drop.
4. Best Hyper – Goliath at SFOG
5. Best Invert – Batman at SFMM
6. Best Family Coaster – Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster
7. Best Wing Coaster – NONE, never been a park that has a B&M wing coaster, and I have not ridden X2 or a 4D Free Spin this year
8. Best Drop Coaster – Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger (So far for 2026 as I will be at SFOT in October)
9. Best New Wooden Coaster This Year – The Great American Scream Machine at SFOG
10. Best New Steel Coaster This Year - ArieForce One DUH!...
Honorable Mentions This Year: I marked only new coasters for me this year in the honorable mentions
- Twisted Cyclone at SFOG
- Dare Devil Dive at SFOG
- Georgia Scorcher at SFOG (best drop on a stand-up coaster)
Parks that I have plane tickets to visit already, over the last five months of 2026.
1) SeaWorld Orlando
2) Busch Gardens Tampa
3) Universal: Islands of Adventure
4) Universal: Epic Universe
5) Six Flags Over Texas
6) California' Great America (easy nine hour drive up the coast)
