Night rides during KingsCon.

    So, for those going to KingsCon, we are being blessed with ERT on two of the best night rides. Since we are getting those already, what night rides are you looking to snag before the ERT kicks off?

    I've done the Bat at night before and that was an awesome experience!

    I'm hoping to get on Adventure Express for a night ride this weekend. I've heard that it is trippy.

    That sounds pretty cool, being so high up at night with the world below you. The lighting package is pretty good to, if I remember correctly.

    When I went I got the typical Beast night ride but I always thought a Bat night ride would've been awesome.

    Definitely Diamondback. Going behind the drone wall is always one of my favorite things to do.

    I never really see people mention Diamondback, but I always figured it had to be pretty good as it goes out into the woods a bit. I guess it just gets lost among all the other excellent night rides in the park. That's exactly why I started this thread, to shone some light on the less talked about night rides.

    Thanks for the recommendation, looks like I'll have to go behind the drone wall!

    I think that Adventure Express is an underrated night ride! 

    My top 5: 

    1. Beast
    2. MT
    3. Racer - because the midway is beautiful!
    4. Adventure Express 
    5. Bat

    I hope to find out just how awesome Adventure Express is at night this weekend, most likely on Friday! I've never done Racer at night so I'll have to add that to the list.

    Can't wait to see you and all the ACE family this weekend!

    I don't know if we'll be able to get them all in, but I'm hoping to get dark rides on Diamondback, Orion, The Bat, and Adventure Express.  We have all season fast lanes, so hopefully we will.  It's getting dark earlier and earlier now that we're almost halfway through August, so that will help. 😁

    It looks like sundown is at 8:30 or so, that definitely should help, that along with Fast lane gives you a pretty good shot!

    I didn't go to KingsCon, but I live a few miles from Kings Island and go often.  If anyone is there for Haunt, I highly recommend Diamondback.  I have ridden it several times after dark during Haunt when you plunged down the hill into Haunt fog and darkness.  Nothing like not being able to see the bottom of the hill as you are going down it!  So if it is a still night where the fog hangs low to the ground, check it out!

    We were able to get a handful of night rides this weekend on Diamondback and absolutely loved it! Going from seeing the stars at the top of each hill before plunging back into darkness with each valley. It was a wild experience!
