My family and I are going to attend HUGEapalooza and also visit Six Flags over Georgia. Any hotel suggestions in the SF area? This will be our first ACE event. Thanks! - Bryan

Update: Thanks all - I ended up picking the Fayetteville area since getting to Fun Spot at 8am on Sunday is more important (and more difficult for us non morning people) than 11am at SFG.

Bryan, I would recommend a hotel that’s kind of away from the Six Flags area since it’s a high crime zone. There should be some in the Smyrna/Marietta area. As far as Fun Spot goes, there’s a Hampton and Holiday Inn right up the road in Fayetteville if you’d like to stay there.

Hotels around the ATL airport would make it convenient to visit both parks

Agreed with staying near the airport, you’ll be splitting the distance between the parks that way. I’d avoid the cheap hotels near the parks. I’ve heard the Hilton Garden Atlanta Airport North is a good place to stay.

Fayetteville / Peachtree City is a good choice for hotel.  I agree with @Cami Kelly in that SFoG general area is not comfortable or welcoming, nor would I recommend the area around the ATL airport (Hapeville, etc.).

You will LOVE ArieForce One, and good timing, as it's shutting down Aug 2.  Hopefully their go cart track is open, as it has some comical airtime on its hils.

If you have a Six Flags prestige pass that allows all parks, you might want to sneak in Six Flags White Water in Marietta, which has comically low attendance during the week even during the summer.  While SFoG has Hurricane Harbor built into the park in the most awkward way possible, it seems to be always SLAMMED during the summer.
