Sooo, Hey Florida Region!

I'm JoJo from Europe and i'm looking for all the Enthusiasts advice to tackle Florida.

I got a trip booked with my best friend in September and we're both coaster enthusiasts so looking for all the tricks and tips y'all have... good Tickets Prices, Park Advice, how to navigate thru parks, what to do when its busy, how to handle the daily tropical storms, like anything to share please hmu folks!

Also, I'm hoping to book my first ACE event, the Coasterpalooza at Cedar Point! How are the events? Any ideas or suggestions on things to prepare for? Etc

I'm not from Florida but I go there regularly.

1. If you want to do everything, stay for 2 weeks! If you have limited time, you need to decide what to skip.
2. Plan for every 3rd day recovering.
3. Spend one recovery day at Discovery Cove and get the upgrade package that includes parking and entry to Sea World and Busch Gardens.
4. Get the express pass at Epic Universe.
5. Don't bother with lightning lane at Epcot or Animal Kingdom as it's not beneficial.
6. Use single rider lines wherever possible.
7. Lower your expectations so ride closures wont ruin your trip.
8. Stay in a rental house rather than a hotel room.
9. Expect horrendous traffic. Get to parks over 1 hour before rope drop.
10. Skip NASA.
11. Carry disposable poncho at all times. Not umbrella (lightning hazard).
12. Wear shoes you can get wet.
13. Do not skip Spider Man at Islands of Adventure.

The best advice I can give as a non-Floridian who loves to go there to ride:

Stay at least one night on resort at Universal in order to get Universal Express (only offered by three properties if I recall correctly).  You can use it the day you check in and the day that you check out, so a one night stay will give you two consecutive days with access.

Alternatively, if it's in your budget, the VIP tour is amazing and it gives you Universal Express unlimited after the tour ends.

The best price for access to BG/SW is usually the Sea World San Antonio Platinum annual pass.  It gives access to all the parks in the chain and does not need to be activated at San Antonio.  Warning that the 12 months begin immediately upon purchase.

Ask (or better yet, search) on Reddit too-Disney or Universal specific forums have lots of experts who can give you trip hacks.

I would say that each time you get to a new park, I would go on your most important rides first if you can... just in case there are afternoon thunderstorms that go longer than expected or ride technical difficulties. I would hate for you to come all this way and not get to go on Velocicoaster! Also, I'm not sure if you have Busch Gardens on your park list, but they have some great coasters, and the tickets are a steal compared to Universal or Disney! Same goes for SeaWorld.
