Omaha’s Fun-Plex, Nebraska’s largest waterpark and rides complex, has a brand new attraction. It is a new roller coaster, Mammoth, which opened June 12.
The Anaconda / 2.0 model from Preston & Barbieri is 70 feet tall and includes more than 2,000 feet of track; it reaches speeds up to 40 mph.
The new coaster gets its name from a playful piece of park lore. The story goes that while building the roller coaster, work crews dug up the remains of an Ice Age mammoth.
