  • 1.  Announcing our 2026 Events Schedule!

    Posted 5 days ago

After months of teasing, we're excited to share our full 2026 events schedule with you! This is the biggest and most ambitous year for our region with a total of 10 events on the calendar, starting with tonight's free digital event, Winter Warm-Up where attendees enjoyed hanging out, trivia, and hearing all of our 2026 event plans (and maybe even some secrets about those events).

Our first in-person event for the year is currently scheduled for May 23, 2026 at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Celebrating the 70th birthday of Sea Dragon, Day of the Dragon will feature ERT on both of the park's coasters.

Continuing our big Memorial Day weekend we make a stop at Scene75 Entertainment Center (Columbus) on May 24, 2026 for Bonus Round, including unlimited attractions and non-redemption arcade time.

We finish out Memorial Day weekend at Kings Island on May 25, 2026 for KingsCon, which will feature ERT and the return of the fan-favorite Racer Ride-A-Thon.

Next, join us the day after Ravine Flyer Frenzy on June 7, 2026 for the Cleveland Coaster Crawl at several parks in the Cleveland area, and get what might be your only chance to collect an elusive credit: the Roller Coaster at Tuscora Park!

After that it's a weekend along the lakeshore in Michigan as we return to Michigan's Adventure for Timbersfest on Saturday, June 13, 2026. You won't want to miss a full hour of ERT on one of the world's best wooden roller coasters.

Close out the weekend on Sunday, June 14, 2026 on the beautiful Silver Lake Sand Dunes as we visit Craig's Cruisers Silver Lake for Cruisin' at Craig's, including an informal takeover of the nearby Mac Woods Dune Rides.

Next, an annual Eastern Great Lakes tradition returns on Sunday, July 26, 2026 as we head back to Stricker's Grove for Picnic at the Grove. Our annual picnic is always a favorite among attendees.

We return to Cedar Point on September 12, 2026 for Coasterpalooza, which will include ERT, bethind-the-scenes tours, a group meal, and more.

And end the year with the return of the region's holiday party at Great Wolf Lodge (Cincinnati) on Saturday, December 5, 2026. The 31st Winter Celebration will include guest presenters, a three-course plated meal, door prizes, vendors, and other surprises.

Please note that all of the information on these events, including the dates, remain tentative and subject to change at any time. We will share updates as soon as we have them.

I am SOOO excited about this lineup. A HUGE thank you to the entire EGL team on putting together such a variety of events. Truly something for everyone!

And the tshirts…love them! My family's desire for these shirts trumped my being sick and I got texts immediately this morning to place an order ;-).

Thanks again to the team for all the hard work. I know it takes a lot of communication, time, and coordination to pull off these events. It truly is very much appreciated.

Timbersfest!  I was planning a visit there anyway before my road trip to Coastercon... Thank you!

Love having all the events, we're currently coordinating on which to attend with my nephew, who's also in EGL.

However, I have one gripe - the date of the Winter Celebration. You just had to hit the weekend of the holiday concert for the Bach Society of Dayton (shaking my fist at you LOL!) So still planning on coming down for it, but will miss the morning because we always play in church (Kettering Advent Ringers from Kettering Seventh Day Adventist church) that day, but I'm going to come down right after we're done. </endsneakypublictyforconcertonSundayafternoonlol>

Oh no, not the Bach Society of Dayton! Seriously, how did I *not* hear about that during my Wright State days? Feel like that is something one of my Many Music Professors would have let me know about. Alas. Perhaps it's an instrumental vs. vocal thing, idk. But now this is on my radar. :)
