SEAWORLD SAN ANTONIO HOWL-O-SCREAM CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF FEAR WITH THREE NEW HAUNTS
Five Haunted Houses, Eight Scare Zones, Three Halloween Shows, All Included with Admission and with the New 2027 Season Pass
SAN ANTONIO (August 26, 2026) Howl-O-Scream is returning to SeaWorld San Antonio bigger, darker, and ready to celebrate 25 years of terror. Fridays through Sundays from September 11 until November 1, for 24 nights the park transforms into the largest and most spine-tingling Halloween event in Texas, packed with five haunted houses, eight immersive scare terror-tories, Halloween shows, spooky themed bars, and an evening filled with twisted experiences that will linger in dreams. And the best part? All the thrills and chills are included with park admission.
The Fear Returns to SeaWorld with Five Bigger and Darker Haunted Houses!
Guests should prepare to face their fears as Howl-O-Scream presents a chilling lineup of haunted houses and terror-filled pathways. This year brings three new haunts, including a first-of-its-kind haunted house by a popular horror film franchise. Terrifying experiences include:
• NEW: I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Last Catch - Based on the first installment of the iconic horror franchise, “I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch” is a haunted house version of the 1997 hit. Guests will wander through horrifying recreations of several unforgettable movie scenes and into the events that unfold during the original Southport massacre. The movie, and the haunted house, tells the story of a group of friends who desperately attempt to hide a deadly accident, but their shared secret awakens a killer determined to make them pay. Now, SeaWorld guests will become part of that terrifying story.
• New: Dead Wreckoning - Beware, this voyage is destined for disaster! Parkgoers can step aboard a doomed ship in its final hours, where a cursed voyage spirals wildly out of control. As the crew descends into madness and mutiny, death lurks around every corner. Can you escape your fate, or has the sea already tallied you among the dead?
• NEW: Witch of the Woods - Legend tells of a powerful witch who dwells deep within the woods, where her dark magic has taken root. With the help of devoted disciples at her command, she lures unsuspecting victims into her domain, where few ever find their way out. Guests who venture deeper into the woods will discover whether the legend is true or become another lost soul amongst the shadows.
• Guests should brace themselves as fan-favorite haunts make their chilling comeback, including The Swamp at Blackwater Bayou and Dis-Assembly Line.
Frightening Terror-tories Around Every Corner of the Park
The Halloween fun isn’t limited to haunted houses. Guests wandering throughout the park will make their way through eight chilling terror-tories. Returning to haunt the pathways are Ripper Row, SINdustry District, Blackwater Bayou, Water’s Edge, Nightmare Midway, and Colleen’s Dollhouse. New this year is Terror Through Time, a nostalgic pathway that pays homage to the 25 years of Howl-O-Scream in San Antonio with the return of past years’ iconic characters including Scarlet from Unearthed, Mr. Karver From Karver’s Kradle, Bunny Bradley from Bunny Bradley’s Ice Scream Shoppe, and more.
Also returning this year is the popular Till Death Do Us Party, an eerie enchantment of a party zone where the celebration of a wedding takes a chilling turn. This whimsical party zone is set with a live band and a ghastly bar with a selection of elixirs for the 21 and up crowd. It’s the perfect spot for an eternal reception, where guests can toast and celebrate the newlyweds... or newlyDEADS!
New and Retuning Halloween Themed Shows and Presentations
The Halloween lineup brings an exciting mix of high-energy entertainment and spooky performances including a brand-new orca celebration and fan-favorite returning shows.
• NEW this year is Shamu Rocks: Moonlight Mayhem. When darkness falls, the ocean awakens with this high-energy nighttime spectacular featuring powerful music, dazzling lights, and the mysterious magic of the sea beneath the moonlight.
• Monster Stomp, a sinister song and devilish dance show will wrap guests up in murderous mischief, and features a live band, singers, and dancers!
• Also, back by popular demand is Sirens Song, a pathway show set in the Water’s Edge terror-tory that will lure and entice unwitting guests with thunderous percussion, mesmerizing dancing, and the sinister allure of the sea.
Guests wanting to experience Howl-O-Scream without the scary startles can purchase a No Boo Necklace. These colorful light-up necklaces are Halloween themed and notify scare performers along pathways and terror-tories to steer clear and avoid startle scares.
Not-So-Scary Halloween Fun
Those not into frights can enjoy not-so-scary fun during the day on select dates from September 10 until November 1 during Spooktacular, SeaWorld’s kid-friendly event designed for the whole family! The not-so-spooky daytime fun includes a hay maze with Spookley the Square Pumpkin, zany pirates at Ports o’ Skull, and in-park trick-or-treating! Available during both daytime and nighttime hours, Día de los Muertos celebrates a tradition close to the hearts of all in the South Texas region with calaveras or sugar skulls, traditional music, and altars to honor those who have crossed over. New this year is Ritmo de Vida, a Dia De Los Muertas themed celebration at Beluga Stadium, complete with traditional music, stunning Folklorico dancers, the grace and beauty of beluga whales, and the high-flying acrobatics of Pacific white-sided dolphins.
Joining in the Family-Friendly Fun is Pinkfong and Baby Shark
