Hello everyone I'm John Niehaus one of the assistant reps in the Northwest Region. I thought perhaps to gauge interest in these discussion forums on the new website, I would start one for introductions. If you are a member of this region (even if you don't live in the region), feel free to introduce yourself with your name, location, and home park and/or favorite rollercoaster. This forum again is just to get to know members better and if you would like to discuss Northwest parks or coaster news in depth let's start separate topic threads for those discussions. Looking forward to meeting all of you!

    So I'll go first,

I moved to Seattle from Cincinnati Ohio. Technically my home park was Stricker's Grove but always claimed Kings Island. Now my home park is Wild Waves soon to become Remlinger Farms and the Washington State Fair since we all know Wild Waves is closing at the end of the 2026 season 😢

My favorite rollercoaster is I-305 (Pantherian) at Kings Dominion.

Hi everyone, I'm Christian Poppe, and I'm living in Seattle, which makes Wild Waves my home park, although growing up, I went to Silverwood pretty often.  Since becoming an enthusiast, and really starting to seek out the coasters, I would rate the Wood Coaster up at PNE Playland in Vancouver, B.C. as the as the best coaster in the Northwest region.  PNE Playland as a whole is also an amazing and underrated little amusement park in my opinion .

Overall, I currently rank Iron Gwazi as my number 1.

I didn't know that this forum existed until I saw the email notification (5 days later it seems... I should probably read through my emails more frequently lol), but I'll try to check in more frequently.  Admittedly, I am more active in the Discord server.  You can find me there under the username "TheArcaneWhisper".

As a Northwest Region member, I also live closest to Wild Waves, but this will be the first season that we get passes there, as we want to be sure and give Timberhawk: Ride of Prey a good sendoff. While I've always enjoyed coasters, I became an enthusiast after my daughter demonstrated a passion for them. I started counting credits the year that I turned 50! A year later we spent the entire summer traveling to all of the Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks, except for Mexico City and La Ronde. That helped our count quite a bit! We also enjoy mountain coasters and just rode the one at Breckenridge last week while skiing there.

Our first ACE (Northwest) event was World's Largest Ride in 2023. We rode Timberhawk: Ride of Prey 20 times that day to celebrate its twentieth season. I hope to get a few 23 ride days this year to celebrate it's final season (at Wild Waves). Maybe we'll get lucky and it will get relocated.

We enjoy the friends we've made in the local area and also traveling to events in other areas. We've been to Fall Con at Lagoon/S&S and to the Iowa Pres Con and the SoCal Pres Con and we're looking forward to hosting Pres Con here this year! This may also be the first year we make it to Coaster Con as my daughter is finally out of school before that week!

    Hi. My name is Mike,

I have lived in Washington State for about 30 years. So my home park, for the moment, is Wild Waves. However, I have traveled all around the country and have visited many parks and roller coasters as well as many other fun non-coaster things.

I don't really have a favorite coaster. I like most of the ones I have been on. I guess the most unique is Leap The Dips at Lakemont Park, which was a very strange experience both on and off the coaster.
